Our mission
Out of Hours is a human potential company - on a mission to help everyone build a life of meaning by embracing who they are.
In Shoe Dog, the autobiography of the founder of Nike - Knight is reflecting about his shoe-making side project while he worked in finance at PwC. He reflects: “I wanted what everyone wants: to be me, full-time.”
Isn’t that what everyone wants? To be their whole, authentic self all the time? We believe everyone can be themselves full time. But to do so, you need to embrace your multidimensionality. You don’t have to leave your job, or retrain in something new, to feel yourself full time. But you do need to be brave, and honest with yourself. You do need to experiment with the things you want to try. You can both craft your job around your skills and interests, and you can craft your life around the meaning you require: from spirituality, to community, to relationships. We all contain multitudes, and we should honour that.
By finding what makes our lives meaningful, and exploring things that are intrinsically interesting to us, we become more creative, more motivated, and more empowered in our daily lives.
We set up Out of Hours to tell the stories of those who have been there, done that, and to help people find the space and introspection to beat their own imposter syndrome, find the time, and make an impact. We do it through our podcast, our coaching, and our events like meditation sessions and writing sessions.

About ME
Hello! My name is Georgia and I run Out of Hours. You can say hello on Twitter here ✨
I work in venture capital, and run Out of Hours on the side as a passion project. I started my career in advertising, and then worked for a few years in start-ups, venture funds and incubators. I am what someone once called a “meaning junkie” - I am always looking to design a more meaningful life, and help others make and find meaning in their lives.
As mindfulness teacher Daron Larson says, “Noticing that we're alive is a taste that adults have to reacquire”.
Since setting up Out of Hours, the podcast has been featured in Esquire’s best podcasts and I also do talks on creativity, time management and side projects - most recently at Leeds Arts University, General Assembly, and D&AD.
